Dr. Bordner previously served as a Lecturer in the Department of Political Science at the University of California, Riverside. Originally brought in to teach a single course on the United States Congress during the Fall 2006 Quarter, Bruce ended up teaching four additional courses for the University during the 2006-07 Academic Year. He was brought back under a one year contract to teach six additional courses during the 2007-08 Academic Year. During the Fall 2008 quarter, he taught two political science courses (Politics and Economic Policy, and Constitutional Law: Fundamental Freedoms) and one course for the interdisciplinary public policy program at U.C. Riverside ( Introduction to Public Policy Analysis). He taught POSC 186, Regulation: A Political Perspective, during the Winter 2009 quarter. He is not currently scheduled to teach at U.C. Riverside during the 2009-10 academic year, as the department is fully staffed.
Class sizes have ranged from 43 students on up to lectures with 360 students.
